Ruth began her yoga journey as a child, watching her mother teach classes in her own yoga studio in Auckland. In her early twenties, she began her own serious practice, and loved the sense of strength and connection it gave her. She became a certified yoga teacher in 2017, and teaches in a gentle vinyasa flow that is grounded by Iyengar-based poses.
